Did you know? Panama is a lush, beautiful and exhilarating country that has some truly authentic cultural experiences. It also features the 8th Wonder of the World that you will not want to bypass. Not everyone is familiar with this country but they should because it is jam packed with exciting options.
English and Spanish are the local languages spoken. And the destination is safe with a thriving economy. From a family vacation to a romantic Honeymoon, I can assure you a trip to Panama will make everyone happy.
First we will fly you into the capital city of Panama City where you will stay a few nights enjoying the multitude of restaurants and bars located within its seaside scenery. It is nightlife galore with many venues to choose from, offering an easy going laid back vibe to help you unwind and get into vacation mode.
Maybe you will want to hit the surf and take a surf lesson or two. We can arrange for you to visit Bocas del Toro. Not only is it a funky Caribbean town, it is also known for amazing swells on a beach, and considered to be one of the surfer world’s best kept secret. For those seeking a remote and quiet experience in an over-water bungalow, there is a resort that offers a few of these rooms but it does require an additional flight. It’s worth the effort to get there.
Nothing but green! Next our driver will transport you in a comfortable vehicle to the jungle. Check into your accommodations within the tropical jungle where adorable and friendly monkeys roam freely. Panama is nature galore offering 14 parks, 12 forest reserves and 10 wildlife refuges.
It’s all about the authentic experiences: the culture consists of six Indian tribes. Panamanians are a friendly and loving people. We can take you on a canoe ride to visit a local indigenous tribe living within their natural habitat. Part of the experience of travel is learning how others live and Panama is a perfect and easy destination to do this.
Here is an example of a tour we can arrange to San Blas, an archipelago of very small islands that have 365 coral white sandy beaches and palm tree islands surrounded by pristine coral reefs. The islands are part of Panama, but are primarily administered by the Kuna tribe.
Enjoy a beautiful short ride to the Caribbean Sea, only a few miles off the north coast of Panama, to the San Blas de Kuna Islands: home of the Kuna Indians. You will see the local Kuna women dressed in their colorful home-created dresses designed with Molas, which are one of the primary expressions of the visual arts in Kuna society. The designs are always original and are an important way for a woman to express herself and demonstrate her talent in this traditionally matriarchal society.
Afterwards you will reach a small island and then on an incredible boat ride you will arrive at a rustic lodge, where you can go snorkeling or enjoy a sea plunge at a beautiful beach followed by a typical lunch consisting of lobster, crab and patacones (fried green plantations that are super yummy).
Did you know that Panama is located between two oceans? You can experience both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean in one vacation. Sounds to me like this gives you some bragging rights!
The 8th Wonder of the World – Yup that is what the Panama Canal is and we will surely arrange the tour where you will see the great ships of the world transiting through the canal. A truly remarkable feat to see at least once in your lifetime and is on many travelers’ bucket list.
