Happy New Year to all! May this year bring you much happiness and health and of course amazing travel adventures.
I recently returned from a business trip to Cannes in the South of France and I am excited to share with you the enchanting country of Monaco.
As soon as I received my jam-packed seminar and appointment schedule and saw that I had one free morning I immediately scheduled a tour of nearby Monaco.
Did you know Monaco is the second smallest country in the world? (Second to the Vatican). While it is located in the south of France it is a country of its own.
The much beloved actress Grace Kelly became the Princess of Monaco when she married into the royal family, and America’s love affair with the destination has never dimmed.
Though she died tragically in a car accident along the roads many years ago she is still well remembered and her place of burial well marked near the beautiful cathedral.
I think most of us have dreamed of visiting this beautiful place made famous by celebrities and those who can afford to live here. Just look around and you will surely see more Lamborghinis and Bentleys than any other time in your life.
And some of the most decadent yachts imaginable lined up one next to another!
Monte Carlo is the most famous city in Monaco. Do you remember watching James Bond’s “Never Say Never” and “Golden Eye”, both which featured scenes of the famous Monte Carlo Casino?
Come visit the casino and order a James Bond Martini “Shaken, not stirred”.
However, do take note that they follow a very stringent dress code of suit and tie and are not shy about turning away patrons that do not abide.
Here in Monaco you’ll find the most famous car race in the world – The Grand Prix Formula One. Have you dreamed of being there? Then live it! Let’s get you to see the race which occurs this year between May 23-27. We can arrange the hotel along with the activities you will want to take part in as you explore the region. But space is limited so do not wait.
The Hotel Metropole Monte Carlo is a fabulous property ideally located in the heart of the race in shiny and glitzy Monte Carlo and was recently voted number one Hotel in France / Monaco. It is just stunning. On your way to the casino, stop in for an espresso at its neighboring Café de Paris. Sit outside and take in one of the most famous views of the city.
The enchantment does not stop here. Have you heard of a tiny village in France called Eze? It is one of the most charming little hilltop towns I have ever seen and it is next door to Monaco. Population of 25!
I look forward to all we can plan for you in 2019. Our world is full of many amazing destinations and our goal is to get you there one at a time!
