Croatia is located in Central Eastern Europe along the Adriatic Sea. It is one of several countries that formerly comprised the country of Yugoslavia. In recent years it has become one of the most popular tourist destinations. Why? Because it is spectacular! And specifically these areas you won’t want to miss:

Well for starters it has some of the most pristine white sand beaches touching super clear turquoise waters. And its numerous top-level resorts make it a perfect vacation or honeymoon spot for the most discerning traveler.

Dubrovnik is referred to as the “Pearl of the Adriatic”. Need I say more? The charm and history of this ancient medieval walled city will captivate you so that you will enjoy getting a little lost as you explore its Old Town.

Split is the home of Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO protected monument and one of the largest Roman palaces in the world.

This city is vibrant and full of energy. You will enjoy its many boutiques, cafes and restaurants. The Skradinski Buk waterfalls in Krka National Park is approximately 3 hours outside of Split. This is a great excursion option outside of the city.

The Plitvice Lake region is a must see for anyone that loves nature. With 16 cascading lakes that empty into beautiful lush waterfalls, we know what will be featured on your holiday card next year. Croatia is full of UNESCO sites and this is one of the highlights.

One of the jewels of Croatia is its coastline. The multitude of pristine islands (over 1200 actually) that dot along the Dalmatian Coastline of Croatia makes it a very popular yachting destination. One of the most popular ways to experience Croatia is via the sea.

We have arranged private yacht charters for clients to enjoy their weeklong vacation, complete with captain and chef on board! The champagne is uncorked for you as you sail along, stopping at the islands of Hvar, Korcula, Mljet and more. Hvar is considered to be the “party island” for those looking for some active nightlife. But if you’re seeking pure quiet and relaxation, no worries, there is at least one island waiting for you.

The country’s dramatic cliffs make for stunning landscapes, and for those less timid, some cliff diving may be in order. Surely diving off a cliff is not on my vacation to do list, but my 22 year old son went to Croatia last winter and enjoyed it. During the cooler months the water is chilly so they gear you up with a full wet suit to keep you comfortable, and it is fully supervised with an instructor. By the way, I do not think he told me about partaking in this activity until after it transpired. Sure made for some cool pics and video once mom knew he was safe.

So how do you get there and when is the best time to visit?
You can relax knowing that we take care of all the details, so it’s easy enough to get there. While it may require connecting flights, you will agree it was totally worth it. With flights departing from many European destinations it can easily be combined with a multi country vacation. Though I must say this country alone can fill up two weeks of your vacation time.
This is a year-round destination. Summers are hot and dry and winters are mild and wet. If you want to enjoy the beaches, you’ll want to go during the warmer summer months but be advised that it’s a popular destination and you will be there with crowds. If you are looking mostly to sight-see and explore when the tourists are less abundant then the cooler months of the year are an excellent option.
